I recently purchased a Toshiba NB205 and was on the hunt for a modest neoprene sleeve to sheath my fancy new netbook. One quirk of the NB205 is the protruding battery pack on the back - while it keeps this fantastic machine running for 9 hours per charge, it also poses a challenge when looking for a snug-fitting sleeve. Thankfully, Targus makes this 10.2-inch sleeve and it's a perfect fit. "This is the perfect webcam for using with a laptop. The image quality is outstanding and works well even in low light. The cord is just long enough to connect up to a USB port without getting in the way and saves space when packed up in the tiny neoprene case that's included. Logitech even thought to include a handy mini velcro strap on the USB cord to keep things organized. There's a small and quite adequate microphone with the camera. The stand that is included with the camera breaks apart into three smaller pieces so it can also easily fit in one's gear bag. I'm a bit concerned it's not quite sturdy enough for constant assembly-and-disassembly. "I've used a few different lap desks before and most of them have a cloth pad underneath for your legs. The problem with this is the cloth still gets warm from the computer sometimes and it's still not much more comfortable than putting the computer directly on your lap. Most of the pads that I've used like seem cheaply made and don't cost all that much less to buy than the Logitech N100. I'm really happy with it- Its fan cools not only the bottom of the computer, but also your legs which was the main selling point for me in the first place. The design is comfortable on your lap and also works well if you want to place it on a table or desk. My only gripe with the product is that while the USB that comes out from underneath the pad(to power it) can easily plug into either side or the back of your computer(depending on how your computer is set up), it isn't very easy to put away. You have to try and push it back into a slot at the bottom and it always seems to pop back out on me. Other than the cable, though, the pad seems well made and pretty inexpensive. "Acer made a nice mini-notebook into a better one. The screen is larger and just as bright. The keyboard is still great (for a small one). No weirdly placed right shift key placement (Asus, Lenovo, etc). The mousepad buttons are below the touchpad not along side (yeah). It is now easy to increase ram or replace the drive without entirely dismantling the unit and voiding the warranty. I have no complaints. I loved the first one, this one fixes all the criticisms of the first one. Nothing major just refinement. Someone is listening to its customers and it is Acer.

Addendum: the screen is glossy, and initial orders are getting the larger 5900ma battery. It stick out the back a bit, but the run time is amazing. It must be the longest running mini-laptop out there, including the new Asus 1000he and the Samsung 10nc, for much less $$. That's a win in my book. Easy to touch type (for me), good looks, I need a xd-card slot and this one has a 7-1, there is a bit a bloat ware, just delete and put on what you need, the HD is large enough." C. Ferretti

"I was worried about getting one as I have had a 12" laptop and was not happy with screen size. But this screen is SO bright it does not even become a issue, not to mention the 1064x600 really makes it seem bigger!
Another bonus, this baby runs 7.5 to 8 hours due to the 5800Amh 6 cell battery! Sweet. Very happy with that. I heard most were shipping with the 4400Amh 6 cell which gives your 5-6 hours. I can run this all day or two before recharge, very nice! I have to keep looking at battery indicator in dis-belief that the battery is still 75% or 50%, it just lasts forever!
This is super portable obviously, and really how laptops SHOULD be. You can put on one leg, it doesn't weigh you down when actually sitting in your lap which is nice. I have had many laptops over the years, screen sizes and this one wins hands down for price, and performance. The unit is strong heavy duty case, compared to some newer thin plastic laptops." "This is an excellent buy, and the best deal out there. It's no wonder why it's Amazon's best selling computer. It's a beauty to behold. I recently purchased this to upgrade my Toshiba NB205 to 2GB of memory. Installing it is a piece of cake... just remove the one that's in there now, and put this in its place. My netbook immediately recognized the 2GB of RAM. This module will work well with pretty much all the Intel Atom-based netbooks on the market. I own the ASUS Eee PC 1000 10-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB Solid State Drive, 20 GB Eee Storage, Linux, 6 Cell Battery) Pearl White. About a half-hour ago this memory card arrived in the mail. I opened up and removed the small plastic cover on the bottom of my computer, released the clips holding the original supplied 1 GB memory card in place (when you release the clips, the card pops up for easy removal), replaced the original card with this one, replaced the cover, inserted the battery, and turned on the computer.

This new memory card was instantly recognized. The entire process is quite simple and straightforward. The only tool necessary is a small Phillips-head screwdriver (mine came in a screwdriver set from Dollar Tree!) to remove the screws. Please note that, for the Asus Eee PC 1000 line, there are several YouTube videos which show in detail the whole process which takes no more than two or three minutes.

The hardest part? Carefully removing the plastic cover on the back of the computer. The screws remove easily but there are several internal plastic clips on the sides of the cover (not visible) which must be released gently so as not to break them (they do seem robust, however). Once the cover is removed, actually removing and replacing the memory is simple. I have used Crucial memory cards in other laptop computers over the years and I have always found them to be completely reliable. Therefore I highly recommend this memory card, especially for Asus Eee PC 1000 owners.

This is a great netbook. Possibly the best. My only complaint with it is that the screen doesn't go back far enough. As soon as I got this netbook,I installed the Crucial 2gb 667mhz RAM, which works like a charm in this netbook. This netbook isn't that powerful...but that's expected since it's a netbook. The touchpad works well, the screen glossy-ness really doesn't bother me, and it's not too bad of a fingerprint magnet. The keyboard is REALLY easy to get used to, possibly the best netbook keyboard I've ever used. The battery life on this thing is truly incredible. The first day I got it I used it for at least 7 hours and Windows still said it had an hour and a half battery life left before I decided to charge it. IF you are planning on installing Windows 7 RC, GO FOR IT! It runs pretty well on this netbook! Just make sure you have an external DVD drive because after the installation you should put in the DVD that came with the netbook to install the Super Hybrid Engine and some other drivers. All in all, great product, great battery life. Stylish, case is nice, Amazon was amazing. Highly recommend it.
